It allows me to use my Smart cover from Apple with an added bonus.... It keeps it from falling off or pulling loose. The translucent blue color matches my Smart cover, too. It helps protect my iPad without adding additional thickness. The price is very reasonable. I'm thinking of ordering more in different colors.
